| Purpose
and Policy:
The Neffsville Christian Nursery School is sponsored by the Long Memorial United Methodist Church for children two-and-a-half to five years old. It provides for them in a Christian atmosphere the basic educational training and group experience preparatory to entering Kindergarten. This is a community service open to all families.

This
is a time when pre-school children's behavior patterns are being formed,
when social and emotional adjustments are learned, and when--under loving
guidance in individual and group experiences--they begin to establish and
grow in Christian habits, attitudes, and ideals. The Christian love and
nurture of dedicated and well qualified staff and teachers provide the
daily atmosphere to accomplish these ends. Our well equipped and beautiful
facilities provide cheerful and creative surroundings for all. |
School
Program and Curriculum
This includes such activities as: Bible Time which centers on Christian Character Qualities like Love, Honesty, Kindness, Obedience, and Listening; Bible Memory Verse Study; self-chosen, but supervised, activities; home health habits and responsibilites; singing; games; snack time; art; outdoor and indoor play; social sharing; and group participation. We work on various themes throughout the year. Some examples are colors, seasons, numbers, ABC's, health, food, shapes, music, and senses. We have field trips such as the Pumpkin Patch, Manheim Farm Show, and Fire Department. We also invite special community helper guests to visit the classrooms throughout the year. We encourage active liason with parents to achieve the best cooperation, understanding, and guidance for each child. |
