Meet Pastor David McGrath, "Pastor Dave"

We are delighted to welcome Pastor David McGrath and his family to Living Hope UMC!

Pastor Dave grew up in New England, graduating from Central High School in Manchester, New Hampshire. He attended classes at Syracuse University, then took a hiatus from school to travel around the United States, eventually settling in Ohio, where he met and married his wife, Karen. He graduated from Malone College and was the recipient of the "Most Outstanding Graduate" award for the Malone College Management Program. Pastor Dave was employed at Quickey Manufacturing in Akron as a customer service manager until he received the call to ministry which brought him to Living Hope UMC in October 2007.

Pastor Dave has been very active in lay ministry, serving as a certified lay speaker, as Sunday School teacher, on East Ohio Emmanual Emmaus Walk teams, creating and leading Bible studies as well as planning and leading a men's retreat

Pastor Dave and his wife Karen, a fourth grade teacher, have two children, Lee and Julia. We are very fortunate to have Pastor Dave and his family with us at Living Hope UMC. He is dedicated to serving God and the church, and he carries that out with enthusiasm, hard work and a wonderful sense of humor.
