Litchfield United Methodist Church offers many opportunities for both children and Adults to grow in Christ.
Sunday SchoolSunday School classes meet from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Sunday mornings during the school year, and are discontinued during the summer schedule. Classes are offered for the following age groups:
Junior Church provides children ages 3 - 10 an opportunity to experience age-appropriate worship activities during church services. Children stay in the sanctuary until after Children's Time in the worship service, then go off to their own classroom to participate in hands-on activities until the end of the service. Junior Church is provided throughout the year. Anyone interested in volunteering to help in either Junior Church or the nursery, please contact the church office.
Disciple
Bible StudiesDisciple Bible Study Classes are much more than Bible studies. Participants encounter God and one another in new ways, and find their faith strengthened and challenged for living in the world. Each study consists of 32-34 week classes. Participants commit to reading at home, and to attending a weekly 2 hour class.
DBS I: Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study - This class covers the entire
message of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation.
For more information,
contact the church office.
Once a person has completed DBS 1, he or she can take either of the following two courses which are offered periodically:
DBS II: Into the Word;
Into the World - This study concentrates
on Genesis, Exodus, Luke and Acts.
DBS III: Remember Who You
Are - This class has a focus on the
prophets and the letters of Paul.
