About Limestone United Methodist Church
HISTORY OF FAITH IN ACTION |
The Limestone United Methodist Church is the most northern United Methodist Church in the continental United States. With the organization of a Sunday School in 1846, the congregation was formally organized in 1889-90. Today, as we enter the 21st Century, we are informed by the faith of our forebearers, redeemed by the living Christ, sustained by God, revived continuously and challenged by the Holy Spirit to live lives centered around and focused upon serving and pleasing God. Thus, our faith in God motivates us to deliberately choose to love and serve others because God is revealed in ordinary human persons. Therefore, to love God, is to love and serve others, especially those in need. |
