Saturday Evening -- a night for sharing memories. |
|
Pot Luck Dinner at 6:00 P.M. on the grounds After Dinner there will be a planned program in the sanctuary which will include Singing Groups that have blessed the church over the years. |
Sunday - A Day for fellowship with old friends |
| James (Jim) C. Stratton has been invited to bring the Sunday Morning message. Liberty United Methodist Church was his first church and the now retired pastor will return for this once-in-a-lifetime event. Services will be held at the usual time of 9:30 A.M. |
| Sunday School will be dismissed allowing time for all in attendance to mingle and reminisce, while sharing a catered lunch. Share your pictures and stories and/or view the memory book being updated for the event. If you plan to attend Sunday, please let us know, so we can reserve a place for you in the buffet line. If you have pictures you think might be subject for the memory book, please e-mail with the topic of the pictures and the names of any people in the picture. There is always the chance that a copy is already in the book. |
| After lunch the celebration will again be moved inside, where our current pastor, Brother John Wray Walters, will speak. Again, there will be more beautiful singing from some of the groups that have graced our sanctuary over the years. |
| If you are unable to attend, but would like to be remembered during the weekend, please feel free to contact current members. They will be glad to pass on your current address and any information you care to give. |
