Meetings of the United Methodist Men will resume on September 17 at 6:30pm.  Monthly meetings are scheduled for the third Wednesday of each month except for December.  Dinner is held at 6:30, prepared by various women’s circles of the church who use the dinners as fundraisers for their groups.  Charge for the dinner is $10 with the bulk of this going to the women’s group.  Following dinner, there will normally be a short period of devotions followed by the evening’s speaker.

This is a good chance for fellowship, good food, interesting programs and a chance to assist in the outreach programs of the church through activities (fundraisers) such as a spaghetti dinner, Super Bowl subs, Strawberry Festival.

If you have been active in UMM in the past you will be called for reservations.  If you are going to attend for the first time please call Russ Holmes—410-859-5939-to let him know, as it is important that the ladies know how many to plan for dinner.

 The speaker for the 17th will be Mr. Skip Booth.  Skip is a lifelong resident of Linthicum.  He has been employed by the Anne Arundel County Library for 28 years as an Info Systems Manager.  Skip is presently the honorary mayor of Linthicum and has written five volumes of Linthicum vignettes.  He will speak on the Linthicum Centennial.

United Methodist Men is for all men of the church (you don’t have to be a member of the church) and all are encouraged  to be an active part of this group.
