Mentors Needed

Belle Grove Elementary School on Belle Grove Road is again in need of Mentors to work with an individual child for ½ hour once each week.  You need no special skills, just reading with them, etc. is a great confidence and achievement builder. The teacher will assist you in what is needed for each student.  We will work with your schedule!

They also need after school assistance for their Home Work Club.  It operates usually two days a week from  2:45 p.m. (snack) 3-4 p.m. assist any student who stays w/their homework. A teacher will be there to guide and assist and only pre-selected students are in the club. It is a fun group setting. Those most needed are for students who receive no assistance or support at home. You do not have to do each session as long as you can stay with one session or the other. The kids love this time with their mentors!

Please volunteer for either of these positions. Middle & High School students may help as well as adults.  The children are usually identified as in need of assistance by the end of September.  So please prayerfully consider volunteering. Please call Sherry Brown 410-859-5022
