Caring For Our Members

“When you care enough to send the very best” is the famous logo by Hallmark Cards. The Caring Ministries exists to serve God by reaching out to our church family through outward actions in “loving and caring” ways as taught to us by Jesus Christ. Our church family is the very best and we want to be able to be there when you need us. Presently, volunteers are needed to help in the areas of:

• Transportation: Driving an individual to and from a medical appointment.
• Prepare and deliver meals to families with short term needs.
• Visitation of the homebound of our church.
• Restocking our pamphlet holders with Care and Prayer Notes
• Taking bulletins and cassette recordings of Sunday worship services to those unable to attend church.

“Caring” does not happen by magic. It’s when we volunteer our services to one another and we thank God for all of you who are part of the Caring Ministries of this church.

Care and Prayer Note booklets are located in the Narthex and near the sanctuary door in the west wing.  These booklets offer helpful guidance in topics such as:

·         Finding God in Pain or Illness
·         Facing Cancer as a Family
·         Living with Cancer
·         When Healing Isn’t Happening
·         Praying When Empty
·         Getting Angry with God
·         Turning to God
·         Healing Your Body, Mind and Spirit Together
·         Praying When You’re Afraid
·         Praying to Heal Your Grief
·         Short Healing Prayers

There are many more topics available to you.  Please take  as many as will help you and share them with others.

There are times when you would like the pastors to visit with a family member or loved one who is in the hospital.  Please call the church office and notify the pastors if you know of such a need.  Occasionally, the pastors are not aware of a hospitalization, especially with the newly inacted  Federal Privacy Act and unless some one calls the office to inform them, you or your loved one may not receive a hospital visit.
