| Families with children often have special needs. We attempt to provide
temporary and long-term solutions through social services, economic and neighborhood
development programs in the East St. Louis/ St. Clair County area. |

Day
Care, Before and After-School Care, Pre-Kindergarten Program: Neighborhood House
provides day care services to children 6 weeks to 12 years of age. Children are cared for
in a warm, safe and nurturing environment. Teachers work with the children to improve
their cognitive, social and physical abilities. In order to be eligible for services,
parents must be working or in school. The program is designed to serve children who are
at-risk of abuse or neglect. In addition, the Day Care Program also provides before and
after school care and Pre-Kindergarten classes. The Day Care Program operates five days a
week and provides transportation. Day Care services are provided at the East St. Louis
Family Development Center at 1045 State Street. |

Providing
a Sure Start (PASS): is an early intervention/prevention program designed to
significantly better prepare children and prepare parents to assist their children in
assuring A Sure Start and a successful school experience. The program provides
Parent Training, Child Development and Life Skills Classes in conjunction with
comprehensive Case Coordination to children birth to 3 years of age and their parents.
Activities and services are provided in the homes of the parents and at the Center, which
is currently located at the East St. Louis Family Development Center. |

Healthy
Families Program: The goal of the Healthy Families Program is to promote positive
parent-child interaction; promote healthy childhood growth and development; and to enhance
family functioning by building trusting relationships, teaching problem solving skills and
improving the familys support system. Participants in the program must be new
parents with a child birth to 2 weeks of age, a first-time pregnant woman or teenage
parents. The Healthy Families Program is located at 1045 State Street. |
