Leland Clegg Memorial United Methodist Church

is proud to introduce our new pastor

Bishop Bennie Dee Warner.

Before serving the African nation of Liberia as its Vice President, Bennie served as the Bishop of the Liberian Conference of the United Methodist Church. Following his service to Liberia, Bishop Warner established residence in Oklahoma City, where he taught at Oklahoma City University while pastoring at Quayle United Methodist Church. He then served in Syracuse N.Y, before being appointed District Superintendent of the Camden District of the United Methodist Church in Arkansas. After retiring from this position, he returned to the congregation that first welcomed him and his family to the United States: Quayle United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. After serving at Quayle and Wesley United Methodist Churches, Bishop Warner has followed the call to serve Leland Clegg Memorial United Methodist Church in a time of renewal and celebration.
