Life's Traveler,

if at times life seems to be a desert,
or as a ship without a steering wheel or anchor ;
if heartaches or regrets are your constant companions,
and you feel the lack of something - undefinable ;
if there's no peace or order in your soul -
yet your thirst for something good and bright ;
or, if at times you feel as a stranger amongst friends,
refresh yourself...

Walk into any house of God, and quietly linger there a while.

One can come nearer to God walking some of the many different paths,
all of which in time can lead to Christ's way.

Have you found your personal path to Christ or, are you still searching ?

There are now many Christian denominations and congregations in Latvia,
each with its own way of life and opinions about what really matters.
Fortunately, Love and our striving for deeper understanding unite us Christians
in our attempts to know and come closer to God through Jesus Christ.

We, Methodists believe that Christianity doesn't require unwavering adherence
to set ways of thinking, simply for rituals' sake.
Rather it takes a heart open to God's word.
Nor do we believe that Christianity requires believers to know the Bible virtually verbatim.
Or that rituals, forms, spectacles or mysticisms are meaningful substitutes
for understanding and Love.

We believe that Christianity - is the evolving loving relationship
between our Creator and ourselves and each other.

Although the Methodist Church is one of the largest Christian denominations in the world,
in Latvia we are currently working to resurrect and re-establish our life and congregations,
which had been outlawed and shut down during the more than 50 years of Soviet occupation.

Perhaps in Methodism's approach to theology, in our congregations and Christian Fellowship, you too will find that long hoped-for spirituality and soulfulness, which we can nurture and develop together.
We have so much to achieve and accomplish here, God willing.

Perhaps you too, "life's traveler", may find all that you seek in our common journey toward God's Truth and Light.
