Web! LaSalle Zion UMC is a rural church in southeastern Michigan.
We are located just a few miles west of I-75 between Detroit and
Toledo,
Ohio (actually much closer to Toledo than Detroit).
As it is stated on the official homepage of the United Methodist Church (www.umc.org)..."With Christians of other communions we confess belief in the triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This confession embraces the biblical witness to God’s activity in creation, encompasses God’s gracious self-involvement in the dramas of history, and anticipates the consummation of God’s reign. The created order is designed for the well-being of all creatures and as the place of human dwelling in covenant with God. As sinful creatures, however, we have broken that covenant, become estranged from God, wounded ourselves and one another, and wreaked havoc throughout the natural order. We stand in need of redemption." It is our mission at LaSalle Zion to spread the news that this redemption can be claimed through the risen Christ. LaSalle Zion is a family oriented congregation that, despite the trends in mainline churches today, is showing growth and vitality. We may not have the multi-media splash and heavy-beat music of some of the "up town" churches, but we have love for each other and all of God's creation. At LaSalle Zion United Methodist, we are people doing our best, with God's help, to follow the example set for us by Jesus Christ. |
