GriefShare group shares your loss

A Christian support group for those suffering the loss of a loved one starts soon at Lansing United Methodist Church, 107 E. Kay St.

GriefShare offers participants an opportunity to share their feelings with others who have lost a loved one while learning about the grief process from a Christian perspective.

Sessions run two hours, one evening a week.

There is a $10 charge for the workbook. Scholarships are available.

Refreshments are provided. Child care is available upon request.

To ask about child care, or for other information, call 727-1044 and leave a message, if necessary, or e-mail at griefShare@lumc.org.

GriefShare groups meet weekly to help you face the challenges of mourning your loss and move toward rebuilding your life.

Each week your GriefShare group will watch a video seminar featuring top experts on grief and recovery.

Then you and other group members will spend time as a support group, discussing what is going on in your life and what you’ve learned in the video seminar and your own reading.

During the week you will have the opportunity to use your workbook for further personal study of the grieving process and to help sort out your emotions through journaling.
