Subject: Gingerbread
Lakewood United Methodist Church will hold its annual Gingerbread House Festival on Friday, December 7, from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in Daniels Hall of
the church. This is a joyous time for family and friends to build a gingerbread house and to begin celebrating the Christmas season. All
materials will be provided.
Tickets are priced at $10 for each house to be built. There is no charge for those attending but not building a house. There is a limit of 200
tickets, so buy yours early. They can be purchased in the church office beginning November 19 or Sundays after worship. The church is located at
15700 Detroit Ave., at Summit, in Lakewood. Proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity, Lakewood Christian Service Center, the Community Meal, and
Interfaith Hospitality Network.

Subject: Easter
Lakewood United Methodist Church will hold special services on Palm
Sunday and Easter.
On Palm Sunday, April 1, at 10:00 am, there will be a Children’s Parade
of banners and palms throughout the church. This festival event will be
held to remind everyone of the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.
Special music during the service will be provided by the Chancel Choir,
Children’s Choirs, and the Youth Chime Choir.
On Easter, April 8, two services will be held. The first service at 8:00
am will be followed by a continental breakfast. The 10:00 am Festival
Service of Easter Worship will feature music by the Chancel Choir, organ,
and brass ensemble.
