FROM THE PASTOR'S DESK

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ, our Risen Lord. I want to take this opportunity to give thanks to everyone who made this year’s Palm/Passion Sunday, Maundy Thursday service, Good Friday service and Easter celebrations powerful and meaningful. Our special thanks to our choir for their inspiring music; to our Praise Bands for their outstanding music; to Cathy Fahy for decorating the sanctuary so beautifully; to Ruth La Levee for her office support; to all the ushers, counters and greeters; and to Tom Coyle and other volunteers for the Easter Egg Hunt party for our children. Thank you all very much!

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Robin Van Schaick’s ministry with us as the Music Director. For the last 30 years, Robin has been faithfully and effectively serving our church with joy and love. So, on behalf of our church family, I want to say, “Robin, thank you so much for all you have been doing to bring the best music to this church family. Thank you for being such an exemplary Christian and servant-leader for all of us. God bless you.”

As a part of celebrating Robin’s music ministry with us, a combined choir consisting of our church choir and the church choir of Mt. Tabor UMC will present a SPRING CONCERT under the direction of Robin. There will be two performances, one on May 9th at our church and one on May10th at the Mt. Tabor Church. We will share more information at a later time.

During this beautiful spring season, may your spirits be refreshed by the new wind of God blowing unto you; may your hearts be filled with peace and joy as you savor each moment as a gift from God; and may your hands and feet reach out in love to those who are less fortunate than you are…just look around, and you will see them.
