Bread
of Life Feeding Ministry
Every Monday evening
from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, a hot meal is prepared and served (or
delivered to those who are unable to come to the
church). Approximately 200 in our community are fed
every week through this program.
This program is
funded by donations and volunteers who come every week to
shop, cook, serve food and clean up afterwards.

TWIGS
TWIGS is an
after-school program that has been offered for over six years at
our church. They meet each Tuesday during the school
year, and follows the Bandera Independent School District
Calendar.
Children from pre-k
to high-school throughout the community are welcome to join us
each week for Bible verse lesson and a hot meal.
This ministry, too
is supported by donations and volunteers.

Vacation
Bible School
Every year during
summer vacation, we offer Vacation Bible School (VBS).
The theme of VBS is different every year.
VBS is a ministry
that touches many lives in our community. Last year, we
had close to 100 kids enrolled. Click on the link on the
left for more details.
This ministry is also
supported by donations and volunteers.

Tape
Ministry
A cassette tape is
produced of the 10:30 am worship service each Sunday.
These audio tapes are distributed to our shut-ins with a meal
on Monday evenings.
United
Methodist Youth Fellowship
Our UMYF group meets
Tuesdays during TWIGS and every Sunday at
5 pm.
They went to a Choir Rally in Corpus Christi in 2005, and have gone on several United Methodist Youth in Mission (UMYIM) trips.

Girl
Scouts
Girl Scout Troop 794
meets in our Fellowship hall the first
Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm.
This troop
planted flowers outside the sanctuary during a workday in
2005.
Angel
Food Ministry
Our church now distributes food for Angel Food Ministries. Angel Food Ministries is a
non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief to communities throughout the United States.
Each
month, during designated days, anyone in the community,
regardless of income, has the opportunity to come in and order a
box of food that has enough food to assist
in feeding a family of four for about one week or a single senior
citizen for almost a month for $25.00.
Each month's menu is
different than the previous month and consists of both fresh and
frozen items with an average retail value of approximately $50.
The food is all the same
high quality one would purchase at a grocery store. There are no
second-hand items, no damaged or out-dated goods, no dented cans
without labels, no
day-old breads and no produce that is too ripe.
Also offered are
specialty boxes such as steaks, chicken and pork. Many
participants in this bonus program appreciate the expanded
choices. The only limitation put on purchasing the specialty
boxes, is that you first purchase a $25.00 box.
Additionally, there is no limit to the number of units or bonus
foods an individual can purchase, and there are no applications
to complete or qualifications to which participants must
adhere.
