WELCOMING OUR NEW PASTOR -- Rev. Stephen Cady, from Park Ridge, IL., has been appointed as a half-time pastor at Kingston United Methodist Church. Rev. Cady has been the Associate Pastor at a church in Park Ridge and will be entering the doctoral program in Practical Theology at Princeton Theological Seminary this fall. He and his wife, Emily, have a 1-year-old daughter (Elizabeth, or Ellie) and are expecting their second child at the end of October. Rev. Cady will conduct his first service with us on September 7. We look forward to working with Rev. Cady as we look for ways we can expand our Circle of Love into the greater community. For a message from Rev. Cady, click on From the Pastor. |
UPCOMING SERVICES:
Sunday, September 7: - Rev. Cady will begin his official duties with a Service of Holy Communion.
REGULAR SUNDAY SERVICES Join us at 10:00 a.m. for Sunday worship. Nursery care is available for infants and toddlers. A time of fellowship and refreshments follows the service.
We are an open, caring community of faith, brought together by the Grace of God, committed to creating an environment of growth and healing through the example of Jesus Christ.
We believe in holding hands, in singing, dancing, laughing, crying together; in feeding the hungry in body and in spirit, in healing, in the Grace of God, in Jesus and His teachings; in the power of prayer; in small, everyday miracles; in the wonder of children; in the story of the butterfly.
The Butterfly is a symbol for this church community of a new day dawning and the happiness that goes with a new life in Christ. Come and join us in worshipping the Lord. May that new life-changing source of God's peace dwell with you!

Our congregation is made up of people coming from a variety of religious backgrounds, ranging from no strong religion at all to traditional Methodism. Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome to join us in ours.
Our service includes a time of personal sharing, as people feel open, about the joys and concerns of our lives. We have also incorporated a time following the service to talk, meet new people, share some laughs and hugs. We may have fruit or sweets, and we always have coffee and friendship.
