"Do no harm; do good; stay in love with God."

A TIME FOR FUN
Traditionally, church activities slow down during the summer. Rev. Stephen Cady says that we should use this summer time to explore new ways to spread the Good News. "Now is the time for each of us to start to consider what we might do to reach out to the people around us. And the good news is, we can (and should) have fun doing it." To read his entire message, see From the Pastor.

"TALK BACK" CONTINUES
Throughout the summer, after the service, Rev. Cady will lead us in "Talk Back." It will be an open discussion of the day's scripture readings and the pastor's message, focusing on how we can apply the ideas to our lives. Everyone is welcome.

SUMMER GOSPEL CHOIR
While the Church Choir takes a break for the summer, the Gospel Choir, under the leadership of Jim Carroll, will begin rehearsing at 9 a.m. each Sunday, starting Sunday, July 5. This informal group enjoys singing Gospel favorites. Everyone is welcome.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

After service through the summer - "Talk Back," a time to discuss the day's scripture and pastor's message.

SERVING THE LORD FOR 130 YEARS
Kingston United Methodist Church celebrated its 130th anniversary on January 30. The building was dedicated on that day in 1879. We celebrated this milestone on Sunday, February 1, with a potluck luncheon following the service. Our goal for the coming year is to invite 130 new people to worship with us, one for every year we've been serving the Lord.

CHOIR PRACTICE -- Music Director Natalie Gibson leads the choir in rehearsal at 9 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Choir will rehearse through Sunday, June 28, and will then take a summer break. Beginning Sunday, July 5, Jim Carroll will lead the Summer Gospel Choir. Rehearsal for that group will also be at 9 a.m. each Sunday. Everyone is welcome.

SUNDAY SCHOOL CONCLUDES -- School-aged children (kindergarten and up) are now invited to leave the sanctuary after a short message from Rev. Cady to share a special time of Bible study and crafts in Anderson House. On the first Sunday of each month, children will remain in the sanctuary for Holy Communion. Sunday School will end for the summer on Sunday, June 28. Nursery care is still available off the Fellowship Hall for infants and toddlers.

REGULAR SUNDAY SERVICES Join us at 10:00 a.m. for Sunday worship. Nursery care is available for infants and toddlers. A time of fellowship and refreshments follows the service.

Our Mission

We are an open, caring community of faith, brought together by the Grace of God, committed to creating an environment of growth and healing through the example of Jesus Christ.

We believe in holding hands, in singing, dancing, laughing, crying together; in feeding the hungry in body and in spirit, in healing, in the Grace of God, in Jesus and His teachings; in the power of prayer; in small, everyday miracles; in the wonder of children; in the story of the butterfly.

ButterflyThe Butterfly is a symbol for this church community of a new day dawning and the happiness that goes with a new life in Christ. Come and join us in worshipping the Lord. May that new life-changing source of God's peace dwell with you!
