need sitter during Work Shop or Sponsor Training) WHAT IS THE "WALK TO EMMAUS"? The Walk To Emmaus is a three day spiritual retreat intended to strengthen Christian Faith and bring more relevance to Christ in personal, family and church experiences. Emmaus is multi-denominational and open to all who thirst for more meaning in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Participants in the Walk range from pastors and priests to local church to those who are just beginning their Christian experience. The Walk involves fifteen presentations on Christ's impact in our lives and provide both mental and spiritual revelation. Chrysalis is a similar program intended for youth. What is the Crossroads Emmaus Community about? The Crossroads Emmaus Community, located in the Kingfisher, Oklahoma area, is associated with Pioneer Country Emmaus (Oklahoma City metro area), Northwest Emmaus (Northwest Oklahoma and eastern Texas Panhandle), and Great Plains Emmaus (Canyon Camp in Southwest Oklahoma). Members are from a variety of denominations including Baptist, Catholic, Christian, Federated (Presyterian/UCC) and Methodist. The Community conducts monthly gatherings and weekly reunion groups to help keep the experience of the Walk To Emmaus fresh and purposeful. The Community insures sponsorship of anyone expressing interest in attending a Walk to Emmaus. Members of Crossroads Emmaus Community are committed to being servants to all who thirst for the love of Christ. How do I Sign Up? Show your support of the Ten Commandments. Individual signs may be picked up at Kingfisher United Methodist Church. A $4.00 donation is requested but not required. Churches requesting signs receive discounts on packs of ten signs.
