Rev. Deborah Kocibon, Pastor
In The Name of Jesus Christ, welcome to Kephart United Methodist Church of McKeesport. The people of Kephart love the Lord and seek new and diverse ways to express that love. We are dedicated to proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ to all the world and to our neighbor. We extend an invitation to you to worship with us each Sunday at 11:00 A.M. We know you will be blessed by a Spirit-filled worship through preaching, music and the fellowship of believers. We also invite you to an evening of intercessory prayer each Wednesday at 7:00 P.M. During this informal time together, we lift to the Lord our praise, our needs, and the needs of the world. We also seek to discern the Lord’s will for our lives and the life of our church. We at Kephart strive to fulfill the Lord’s holy word, “For my house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples.” (Isaiah 56:7)

Kephart is a congregation moved by the Holy Spirit to welcome all in the name of Jesus. In today’s stress-filled, fast-paced life, Kephart is an oasis for those seeking a better way to live. We offer the love of Christ to provide rest and sustenance for the modern life. We firmly believe the words of Jesus “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10) We look forward to worshiping with you.

About Rev. Deborah Kociban
Pastor Deb has called Pittsburgh her home since 1979 when she completed her B.S. degree at the University of Pittsburgh. She and her husband George were married in 1982 and welcomed their daughter Whitney, in 1985. Pastor Deb was employed by Allegheny General Hospital where she worked in cancer research as a research assistant for many years. While leading youth ministry at Laketon Heights United Methodist Church, the Lord placed a call for pastoral ministry on her life. She completed her Master of Divinity degree at the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in 2003. It is her prayer that the Spirit of the Lord will be poured out here to claim souls for the kingdom of God and transform the world today.

KEPHART MISSION STATEMENT
A community-based church, Kephart Church of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, is called to reach out with God’s mercy to the people of Fawcett Plan and beyond by serving our neighbors practically and ministering healing to the lost and unchurched. As a result, they will be encouraged and grow in Christ. We will build an inclusive community of faith that worships God through Jesus Christ in the fullness of the Holy Spirit. We will disciple believers, equip them to fulfill their ministry, and empower spiritual leaders.
