We have clothes for all ages and small household items and a small amount of food items free for those that need them. People of the church and the community donate these clothes. This is a mission project for the church. If anyone has clothes to donate call 412-672-0265.

Light Up Night
Every October 31st on the corner of Fawcett and Shields Streets

Light up night this year was held outside. We had over 350 children and adults walk by the church, pick up their treats, apple cider and coffee. We ministered to the neighborhood with caring fellowship. Contemporary Christian music DVDs played throughout the night. The church had its lights on inside and outside with a spotlight to light up the street.

Neighborhood Block Party 2007
Kephart held a neighborhood block party September 29, 2007 with all the neighborhood invited. ‘Third from First’, a music and singing band was there to play music from the Lord. The group ‘Youth With A Mission’ YWAM was there and went around to the neighborhood to invite people to the party. They performed and shared words from the Lord. We also had rides, games, prizes and food. The Lord blessed us with a beautiful day. We hope to have more block parties in the future.

Barb Shawl Scholarship Foundation
The foundation was started because of Barb’s love for music since she was very young. Her mother was involved in music also and Barb’s children and grandchildren. The family thought this foundation would be a good way to carry on Barb’s love of music by giving a small scholarship to a young person. Once a year a concert is held for the foundation with local music artist ministering.

KEPHART MISSION STATEMENT
A community-based church, Kephart Church of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, is called to reach out with God’s mercy to the people of Fawcett Plan and beyond by serving our neighbors practically and ministering healing to the lost and unchurched. As a result, they will be encouraged and grow in Christ. We will build an inclusive community of faith that worships God through Jesus Christ in the fullness of the Holy Spirit. We will disciple believers, equip them to fulfill their ministry, and empower spiritual leaders.
