Ken Steele,
Organist/choirmaster
Ken Steele taught high school choral music in Texas for twenty-six
years, prior to retiring in May of 2000. He served as music director
for several churches, as well. He earned a Bachelor of Music in
Church Music and Voice at Stetson University (Florida) in 1966;
completed his Masters of Music In Choral Literature and Conducting
at the University of Texas, Austin, He is active in ACDA, TCDA,
NJ-ACDA and AGO. He is a clinician, an adjudicator and presenter
at competitions, conferences and conventions.
Ken and his wife Diane, also a retired music teacher, have two
grown children and five grandchildren, two in New Jersey and three
in Texas. The Steeles truly enjoy being in the Northeast, with
its abundant history, excellent cultural offerings and the spectacular
changes of the seasons. Most of all, they are grateful to God for
the privilege of being a part of Kemble Church and its music ministry.

Judith Putnam -
Sanctuary Choir Director -
Judith Putnam is a full-time teacher of Technology at the Gov.
Charles C.
Stratton School in the Swedesboro-Woolwich School District. She is an
active member at Kemble.
Judith directs the Sanctuary Choir for children, grades 1 through 5. The choir
sings twice a month during the school year and for special musical presentations.
The children rehearse on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 7:15 in Raver Hall.
They sing music that is appropriate to their young voices, encompassing many
styles, including traditional and contemporary. |
