OUR PASTOR
Rev. Handi Jo Dolloff-Holt Ministry has been a sacred calling in my life and I feel God's presence in a variety of ways within the church and the wider community as I have served in pastoral ministry. Worship, particularly the sacraments, has always been important to me. I enjoy developing worship liturgies, planning both traditional and contemporary services, preaching and sharing music within the worship experience. Journeying with congregation members through the joys and sorrows of life is truly sacred and I feel blessed to provide pastoral care and counseling when it is needed. I also enjoy developing retreats for leadership planning, UMW, youth, spiritual growth, etc. Teaching membership, disciple, Christian Believer, and other special classes is another important part of ministry that I enjoy because I learn much as I teach others.I am originally from Maine and spent the first twenty-three years of my life in small town outside of Portland. Jeff is originally from Denver. He and I met shortly after I moved to Denver to attend Seminary. Jeff and I were married a week after I was ordained in June of 1997. We then moved to Utah to begin my ministry as a pastor. Jeff's background is in Business Administration and he currently works within the computer industry. Our daughter Emily was born in July of 1999 and Sydney, our "surprise," was born in October 2000. Jeff and I both feel blessed to have two little miracles in our lives, despite the moments of frustration that come with parenting. Animals are also important part of our family. Baily, a beautiful chocolate lab was our "first born" and we lost him to a rare disease when he was four. We adopted Kisses, a Black Lab, from the Humane Society. After Baily died we adopted a Yellow Lab who had been rescued from the street and we named him Jake. With two children and two dogs our lives are indeed busy!
