Welcome to the Kansas City Webpage!
When I became District Superintendent the one request I
heard most frequently was, “We need to have a website.”
It has taken a while to get this one up and running. It is not fully
there yet but we have started. We
hope to have it fully functional by January 2, 2006.
It is my hope to make this website what you need it to be. If there is something that could be on this webpage, that would help your ministry let us know and we will do our best to make it happen.
There is a “forum” link on the webpage.
One thing I hope will happen is that it will be a place for theological
discussion and for sharing ministry ideas.
We have included a devotional link on this site for your use.
If you are surfing the web and come across this page let me
tell you that the Kansas City district, in the Kansas East Conference is made up
of the United Methodist churches in Johnson, Wyandotte and Leavenworth counties.
There are 44 churches and plus 92 appointed pastors including those
appointed beyond the local church.
We have inner city, rural and urban churches some whose
average attendance is below 30 and others that average almost 7,000 a Sunday.
In every case the goal is the same – to make disciples of
Jesus Christ.
