Conferences and Bishops
John Wesley UMC is part of the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. The West Ohio Conference, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, is one of 66 conferences in the United States. Each conference is led by a Bishop. The Bishops lead with the advice and assistance of the Conference staff and the District Superintendents. The Bishop assigns pastors to individual congregations in consultation with the Bishop's Cabinet and the local congregation. Rev. Bruce Ough is the Bishop of the West Ohio Conference.
Districts and District Superintendents
John Wesley UMC is in the Ohio River Valley District of the West Ohio Conference. Our District is led by a District Superintendent who supervises the pastors of the congregations in his or her District. The current Superintendent of the Ohio River Valley is Rev. Randy W. Stearns.
