Operation Christmas Child
Just take a box and brochure from the display in the Narthex. Decide which gender and age of child you want to shop for, and begin to fill the box with small gifts. There are directions and sugges- tions in the brochure. When your box is full: fill out the brochure, include a shipping cost of $7, put the envelope in the box, secure the box with a sturdy rub- berband, and attach the label. Then bring it to the table in the narthex by November 8th. Your gift will bring a smile to the face of a child. It will be delivered with a booklet telling the Christmas story to a child and family. It could be the gift of faith and hope for the child and the entire family. Thank you for your efforts to spread joy! Please call Carolyn Barber, 858-3174, if you have any questions.

In 2008, John Wesley Early Learning Center was named a Step Up To Quality Program by the State of Ohio. Only the top preschool and child care programs in Ohio receive this prestigious award.
John Wesley ELC received this award because of their overall commitment to quality and excellent early care and education program. They offer a wonderful environment for children to grow and develop, and it is an honor to receive state recognition for their efforts. Among the special quality features that helped them win this award are the following:
• More teachers per child – this allows a teacher to spend more time with each child.
• More qualified teachers – more training in early childhood development.
• A commitment to early learning and Ohio’s Early Learning Content Standards.
• An outstanding work environment – paid staff benefits mean staff is treated professionally, which goes a long way in retaining good teachers for the children.
Our goal is to build each child’s self-confidence, develop their social and emotional skills and instill a love for learning that will follow them the rest of their life. John Wesley ELC is extremely pleased to have won this award. We tell our children to reach for the stars. Today we feel like they are in our grasp. Click here to learn more...
