Channels of giving for United Methodist Women
1 - Pledge to Mission: The yearly pledge in the Circle to the budget of the unit is he basic support toward all the mission program of the United Methodist Women of the United Methodist Church.
2 - Special Mission Recognition Gifts; A gift for mission in honor of any person. (A certificate and gold pin are provided for the honoree.) Our unit budgets two each year, and others are sometimes given by individuals.
3 - World thank Offering: gifts given out of gratitude for God's abundance, colleted in the fall of each year.
4 - Missionary Support: To honor a missionary with a gift in his or her name.
1 - Call to Prayer and Self-Denial Offering: An offering received in February in connection with the observance of the Call and Self-Denial Program. Gifts are divided equally between the United States and overseas missions for programs selected each year.
2 - Supplementary Gifts: Gifts over and above the pledge, which may be designated for specific program or project in the world, National or UMCOR divisions. Circle projects are sometimes in this category.
