Our Worship and Sunday School Schedule:
Summer Schedule--Begins on the first Sunday of the second week in June and continues to the first Sunday in September. Worship begins at 10:00 am followed by coffee hour. There are no Sunday School Classes during the summer.
Fall-Winter-Spring Schedule--Begins on the second Sunday in September and continues to the first Sunday in June. Sunday School Classes start at 9:30 am and continue until 10:45 am, Worship begins at 11:00 am followed by coffee hour.
Voice Choir--practices each Wednesday at 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm. Choir is always part of the worship service.
Hand-Chimes Choir--practices on the first and third Sundays of each month at 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm. The Hand-Chime Choir is part of worship services on special occasions.
We have a space that is designated for those who prefer to play over pray. Our infants and toddlers have a safe place with caring providers so parents can participate in church life. For our Kindergarten through 2nd grade, the fundamental lesson that God is love is taught through biblical curricula. this is an introduction to the message we believe--God loves us all. Our Children's Sunday School is for grades 3 through 8. Both Biblical and spiritual, we offer a time of imagination, peace, reverence and respect for the Divine. this is not a place for children to be "entertained;" rather children are taught how to be emotionally and spiritually connected with the God of Love.
Our adult Sunday school (including young adults) is a time for discussion around contemporary topics from a Christian perspective. For the fall months we will be exploring the characters in both the Old and New Testaments. Join us every Tuesday at 10:00 am.
A free breakfast is open to anyone. Whether you're in need of a meal or company, we would love for you to join us on the last Saturday of each month, 8:30 am until 10:00 am. This is a free breakfast with not strings attached, just come and enjoy a great breakfast.
On the second Sunday of each month, 9:30 am, we come together to break bread (or pancakes). This is an intergenerational fellowship time over food. On the first Wednesday of every month, from 10:00 am until noon, we come together to work on group projects. Proceeds from these projects help support the mission work of the UMW (United Methodist Women) whose focus is on helping women and children throughout the world. On the third Friday of each month, from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm, we will discuss a book that challenges us and pushes us past our conventional thinking. This is a pragmatic and fun discussion on how we can make our faith more meaningful. Directions to the church: Come into Junction City to Ivy Street, also known as Hwy. 99. At the Dairy Queen, which is at the corner of Ivy Street and W. 10th Avenue, turn west and proceed to Laurel Street. There is a parking lot at the west end of the church building.
