The Rev. Dr. Richard G. Leaver is an ordained minister of the
United Methodist Church of the Greater New Jersey Annual Conference, being in
pastoral ministry for 23 years now after a previous career in industry. Dr.
Leaver left his former occupation when he felt called by God to enter the
ministry and enter seminary. He completed his Master of Divinity degree (M.
Div.) at Palmer Theological Seminary
(formerly Eastern
Baptist Theological Seminary) in Wynnewood, PA while serving two small
congregations in southern New Jersey. From there he completed his Doctor of
Ministry (D. Min.) degree at Drew University
School of Theology in Madison, NJ while continuing to pastor.
Between degrees Dr. Leaver entered the Tree of Life Institute for Spiritual
Formation, at that time located in Brown Mills, NJ where he was certified in
spiritual direction, and a few years later became a teaching director and
Executive Director of the parent organization The
Rose Mandala Foundation.
In October of 1998, Dr. Leaver received his Doctor of Philosophy in Religion
(Ph. D.).
Dr. Leaver is a member of The American Academy of Ministry, The American
