Grand Opening of Santo Nino Clinic in Mexicali

The Joint Commission purchased land for a much-needed clinic, and modular buildings were secured, thanks in large part to the efforts of Ken Kurfmann of Light of the Canyon UMC. With its newly renovated buildings, the dedication May 19-20, 2007 celebrated this new ministry.

The project was three years in the offing. In 2005, pennies collected at Cal-Pac Annual Conference were designated to the clinic. Last month, it still lacked funds to complete final hookups. A home sale was pending. The donors agreed that if there was an offer on their home soon, they would provide the final funds. The next day, they received an offer, which in the current housing market, is no small matter! A DVD shows the work in progress on the modular
buildings.
