2008 Work Teams to Baja California Planned for July-August
Work teams are being organized for service to the Valle de San Quintin during the last two weeks of July and the first week of August. Weekend trips for those who are not able to take longer blocks of time can be arranged, but a full week is best in order to accomplish more work.
The farthest church is roughly equidistant to Ensenada as it is to the border. Colonet is the closest of the three, Jaramillo is in between, and Lazaro Cardenas is as far as we go, but still it is only about a third of the way to the tip of the peninsula.
There is also a need in the community for home repair. Project coordinator Murray Hawkins and other leaders who are fluent in Spanish will remain in Mexico to plan work and provide continuity as groups come and go. Teams are also welcome to worship in the local churches
