How to get to John Wesley It’s not hard to get to John Wesley United Methodist Church, located at 260 Quincy Street between Bedford and Nostrand Avenues. The building is accessible to the disabled. We can be easily reached by car and most forms of mass transportation.
By Bus: The B44 bus serves Nostrand and Bedford Avenues (get off at the Gates Av. stop), and the B52 bus serves Gates Avenue (use the Nostrand Av. stop), which is one block south of Quincy Street. Most Crosstown buses in Brooklyn provide an easy transfer to the B44 bus; and many north-south bus routes in Central Brooklyn have transfers to the B52 bus, which also serves Downtown Brooklyn. Both bus lines serve many subway stations and have easy transfers. By Subway: You can take the A & C trains to Nostrand Avenue Station at Fulton Street. Either walk 10 short blocks down Nostrand Avenue. (against the the flow of traffic) or take the Williamsburg-bound B44 Bus. The G train to Bedford-Nostrand Avenues Station at Lafayette Avenue. Use the Nostrand Avenue exit. Walk 5 blocks up Nostrand Avenue (following the flow of traffic) to Quincy Street. By Commuter Rail-Long Island Railroad: Take the Long island Railroad to Nostrand Avenue Station at Atlantic Avenue, use the Nostrand Avenue exit (to your left as you exit the train), make a right turn at the corner, walk three blocks to Fulton Street and follow the directions from the A & C trains.
From Western Queens, the Bronx, Upper Manhattan and points north: If you are traveling via the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, use exit 31-Wythe & Kent Aves., travel south on Wythe Avenue into Franklin Avenue for 8 blocks to Quincy Street, make a left on Quincy, the church is at the corner of the second block (at Nostrand Avenue). From Central & Eastern Queens and points east: Take the Jackie Robinson Parkway to Pennsylvania Avenue (hang right at the intersection), go straight for two blocks to Atlantic Avenue, make a right and drive straight on Atlantic to Bedford Avenue, make a right for nine blocks to Quincy Street. The church is at the next corner (Nostrand Avenue) From Southeastern Queens and the South Shore of Long Island: If you are traveling via the Belt Parkway from Queens or Long Island, use exit 17W - North Conduit Avenue. Continue along North Conduit Avenue (the street name changes to Conduit Boulevard in Brooklyn) to Atlantic Avenue. Drive straight on Atlantic to Bedford Avenue, make a right for nine blocks to Quincy Street. The church is at the next corner (Nostrand Avenue) From Lower Manhattan, Downtown Brooklyn and points west and south: If you are traveling via the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway eastbound, use exit 30-Flushing Avenue, turn right from Classon Avenue onto Flushing Avenue, continue for 3 blocks, then make a right onto Franklin Avenue, travel south on Franklin Avenue for 8 blocks to Quincy Street, make a left on Quincy, the church is at the right corner of the second block (at Nostrand Avenue). If it is easier for you, use Atlantic Avenue heading eastbound from the Downtown Brooklyn area, make a left turn at Bedford Avenue, and drive straight for 11 blocks and make a right turn at Quincy Street. The church is at the right corner of the block at Nostrand Avenue.
