CHILDRENs MINISTRIESSunday School, 9:30 a.m., September through May: Children preschool to fifth grade are invited to participate in our Power Express classes. Each month features a particular Bible story or theme taught through story-telling, art, cooking, music, and games. YOUTH MINISTRIESMiddle school and junior high students meet Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. for discussion about current teen topics and faith. Senior high students are not meeting on Sunday mornings. United Methodist Youth (UMY) middle school through high school meets every other Sunday afternoon for fellowship, food, faith development, and service. CHILDRENs MUSIC MINISTRYJason’s Kids, for children 4 years to 5th grade meets Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. for dinner, singing, and brief devotion. They sing once a month in the 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship service. Check out FAMILY MINISTRIES for information about Mothers and Others, and Dads, Too, that meet the same time as Jason’s Kids. Call Kathy A., Jason’s Kids director, for more information, 208-785-4978. FAMILY MINISTRIESThursdays at 6:00 p.m. families and others gather for light supper in the fellowship hall. After supper Jason’s Kids choir, age 4 through 5th grade, gathers for rehearsal. Moms, grandmas, and other interested women spend time doing an informal study as Mothers and Others. Dads, grandpas, and other interested handymen find their way downstairs to participate in a work project designed to help finish the basement one room at a time. At 7:30 everyone is on their way home. |
