The meeting was called to order at 11:10 a.m. with prayer by Melba Fisher
Attendance: Melba Fischer, Lula Mae Correll, Charles Correll, Lynn Correll, Scott McClure, Joleen McCandless, Claire McClure, Quentin Kimbrow, Mary Childers, Julia Kinsey.
Agenda Items:
1. Church Pictorial Directory:
Julia Kinsey reported that the Proofs have been sent off and the draft
of the directory should be back in August for proofreading. Sarah
Stadleman has done the majority of the layout work.
2. Treasurers report:
Mary Childers presented the Treasurer’s report: $5677.04 in checking
account, with $1227.44 of that in the General Fund. Mary reported
that she still cannot find an accounting of the Memorial Funds to the point
of being able to detail what monies are dedicated to which individual.
This is because a good record is available showing what amounts were received
into memorial funds, but the amount disbursed does not show in whose honor
the money was spent. A request of the Finance committee was made
to sep up a process to manage and record the detail of memorial funds income
and disbursement associated with the individual honorees. Quentin
was asked to carry that message to the Finance Committee.
3. PPR Committee:
The administrative Board requested Lula Mae Correll, a member of the
PPR Committee to contact Gary Hompland, Chairman, and request that the
PPR committee meets at least quarterly.
4. United Methodist Men:
Scott McClure reported that the Summer Picnic is tentatively scheduled
for August 26th. Ed Otto is planning to see if it can be moved up
to August 19th. It will be held at Spears Recreation area with Worship
held there that day as well.
5. Minister’s Report:
Rev. Kimbrow reported that we have been asked if the annual Charge
Conference meeting could be held Thursday, October 25 at 7:00 p.m.
A motion was made and seconded and passed to hold 2001 Charge Conference
on the above date.
Rev. Kimbrow was asked what to expect at the September bring a friend
to church service the second Sunday of September. Quinton explained
the purpose of the event and a few of the plans. Discussion was held
concerning possible events.
Quinton reported that 2 very generous donations have been received
that will enable the payment of health premiums for him and his family
that were found to be in arrears.
6. Fair Spud Booth:
Joleen reported that $425.00 has been spent so far. She is keeping
a record of everything needed that she discovers. Members of the
Men’s Group will do the set up of the booth on Sunday, July 22. There
is a need for workers for Monday, July 21. The potatoes have been
donated this year.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:50 a.m.
Respectfully submitted:
Claire McClure
