Vacation Bible School

"Construction, I.N.C. (In the Name of Christ) Vacation Bible School was held at the Stuart-Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church July 12-16 with over 80 children and helpers involved. The theme bible verse for the week was "God is the builder of everything" Hebrews 3:5 and kids learned that God makes them bricks in his church by grace through faith in His Son Jesus, our Savior. Mission projects included collecting canned goods for the local food pantry and a daily offering to be sent to the Hands and Feet Project to benefit the orphaned children of Haiti. Vacation Bible School Missions Projects

As part of our Vacation Bible School program, we teach children to share God's blessings with a local and a worldwide mission project. As our local mission this year we asked each child to bring at least one canned food for the Guthrie County Food Bank to help local families. As our worldwide mission project, the offering collected from the children this week will be sent to the "Hands and Feet" mission project in Haiti. Hands & Feet is a non-profit organization dedicated to the health, welfare, and education of the orphaned children of Haiti. Based on the teachings of James 1:27, and the heart of the whole scripture, Hands & Feet is dedicated to the construction and operation of a children's village to provide for these needs.

Audio Adrenaline, a Christian rock group, has felt God's call to make a difference. They are building a community of homes through the Hands & Feet Project. To help fund the project, they are going to auction an Audio Adrenaline concert on eBay! All the money will go to the project in Haiti. There are three specific ways you can help:

• Pray for wisdom in building the Children's Village and your involvement with this project



• Tell your friends and youth leaders about the website, www.handsandfeetproject.org, and watch for the eBay auction announcement



• Make a charitable contribution to this ministry by sending a check addressed to: "Helping Hands in Haiti, c/o Audio Adrenaline, 301 Mallory Station Road, Suite 200, Franklin, TN 37067
