Menlo After School Program Celebrates Third Year

The Menlo After School Program will open its doors to children in grades Kindergarten through Fifth on August 30. The children are escorted after school, Monday through Thursday, from the WCV Menlo Elementary School to the Menlo United Methodist Church where they enjoy snacks, games, songs, skits, puppets, field trips, crafts, and tutoring at no charge. Children do NOT have to attend every night; pre-registration is required. If you know of a child who would like to attend, please fill out the registration form found elsewhere in this newsletter and drop it off at the Menlo United Methodist Church. If you have questions or you would like to volunteer, please contact Linda Sudbrock or Melodee Carstens at 524-4561.


Middle School Youth Group Being Formed

If you are in sixth, seventh, or eighth grades and you've been looking for a fun-filled hour to spend with your friends on Wednesday nights, then we have just the thing for you at the Menlo United Methodist Church. Every Wednesday night, we will serve you a light meal like pizza or lasagna, and then do service projects, go on field trips, play games, or discuss life in general. Our first gathering will be Wednesday, September 1 at approximately 6 p.m. and will be over by 7 p.m. For more information, please contact Melodee Carstens at 524-4561. Hope to see you there!
