Location
We're located at 3027 James Street, in the Eastwood neighborhood of
Syracuse, in the northeast part of the city. Our
church is a brick building at the corner of James Street and Rigi Avenue.
As you go east on James Street (away from the center of the city) we are on the left-hand side of the street, a short distance from the traffic light at the corner of Midler Avenue and James Street.
Coming from the east, we're a little more than half a mile from the intersection of Thompson Road and James Street, on the right-hand side of James Street.

Parking
Unfortunately, we have no parking lot of our own. However, several of our neighbors have kindly offered the use of their parking areas when not otherwise needed for their own use. Most people do not have a difficult time finding a place to park, once they learn where the parking places can be found. We know that this is an inconvenience and hope someday to find a good solution; for now, here are the places that are available for parking:
On the street: There is usually some room along Rigi Avenue, but odd-even parking rules apply (parking is permitted on the church side from 6 pm odd to 6 pm even days). There are also spaces on James Street (the meters do not need to be fed on Sundays or after 6 pm on other days) and we have a small section on James Street, in front of the church, for handicapped parking.
Friendly neighbors: We have permission to use these parking areas:
- American Legion Eastwood Post 1276, across the street from us at the corner of Nichols Avenue and James St., allows us to use their lot (enter on Nichols Avenue) when they do not have a function in progress.
- Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home at 3111 James St. has given us permission to use their parking areas except during their normal business hours.
- Fehlman Brothers Garage, on Midler Avenue, allows us to park in the few spaces in front of their building except during normal weekday business hours.
- Key Bank, at 2801 James St., and Sacred Melody Book Store at 3535 James St. also permit us to park in their lots, although these locations are less convenient.
- There are other areas also; ask us and we'll be glad to help you find them.
Not available: The parking lot adjacent to our church is reserved by its owner for customers of the businesses at the corner of Midler Avenue and James Street. We have not yet been successful in obtaining permission for persons coming to our church to park there.
