Community Support Systems

Immanuel Church is one of the supporters of the Community Support Systems and Pantry distribution in the Baden Community. Several of our members serve as volunteers in the food pantry each week: Mellie Landon, Carol Tarbox, Pat Thomas.

 

Who We Are...

Community Support Systems' (CSS) mission is to help low and moderate-income families and senior citizens access services; to be an advocate for needed services; and to provide local programs that will raise the quality of life, dignity, and independence in the community.

Our board and our faithful community of volunteers work tirelessly to do one thing: improve the quality of life of our most vulnerable neighbors in the southern Prince George's and northern Charles County areas.

Most importantly, we are neighbors helping neighbors!

 

CSS Makes A Real Difference

In 2008:

• CSS Food Pantries had 6,089 visits and 1,415 home deliveries.
• The CSS Advocacy Program had 542 beneficiaries
• The CSS Advocacy Program helped 43 families
• CSS’s Shared Senior Living Home served 5 low-income seniors.
