United Methodist Youth Fellowship
The purpose of UMYF is to help all
youth to grow in their Christian faith through study, worship, service project
and fellowship. The primary goal of UMYF is to help youth grades 4 through 12
begin to develop a personal faith identity in Jesus Christ and to live out that
faith in the life of the church, their homes, neighborhoods and schools. There
are three age groups: 4th-5th grades, Junior High (6th, 7th and 8th grades) and
Senior High (freshmen-seniors).
Youth Group nights are Sundays,
September through May, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. We have
special fellowship events including: retreats, movie outings, skating
parties, playing putt-putt, visiting museums. Always fun are the church
lock-ins. . .we dare you to stay up all night! Lots of pizza and games.
Youth Annual Conference (YAC) in the
past has been held at Brown County and French Lick, Indiana. There are
nationally known musicians and speakers making the gathering an incredible
event. It's a great chance to hear lots of great music, inspirational speakers
and meet other youth committed to Jesus Christ. The Junior High YAC is held in
the fall and the Senior High YAC is held during mid-winter. See
Current News for the most recent information.
You can send them
email with questions and thoughts or
contact our church office to leave a message for one of our youth leaders.
