Who We Are

The United Methodist Church of Ipswich is part of the world-wide United Methodist Church.

It is housed in one of the oldest buildings in Ipswich.   The new steeple is a reproduction of the original steeple damaged in the 1974 hurricane. The original bell now rings out from the new steeple.

The steeple was often used by mariners as a navigation landmark in that it was visible for some miles out to sea. The steeple is part of the Ipswich Town Seal.

Today, the church is a house of Worship with a re-energized choir, Sunday School and thriving membership. The church actively supports the Ipswich Food Pantry, Boy Scout Troop 13, the Haddie Cooper Community Center in Roxbury, broadcast of the Sunday Worship Service on local cable TV and support of our elderly. We are constantly looking to enter new ministries that can help our community.
