The United Methodist Church of Ipswich
is part of the world-wide
United Methodist Church.
It is housed in one of the oldest buildings in Ipswich.
The new steeple is a reproduction of the original steeple damaged in the 1974 hurricane. The original bell now rings out from
the new steeple.
The steeple was often used by mariners as a navigation landmark in that it was visible for some miles out to sea. The steeple is part of the Ipswich Town Seal.
Today, the church is still a house of Worship with an active and thriving membership. From Sunday services to the Ipswich Food Pantry to the occasional theatrical production, everyone can find something to be active in their community.....
