"I encourage each person to make a personal commitment to engage in at least one of the trust-building social activities suggested at the dinner by the end of May.  And, I encourage each Muslim and Methodist congregation to develop a committee whose job it will be to plan such activities and recruit members of their respective congregations to participate.  Summer is a nice time to hold some of the activities.  Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of any assistance in this process. -- Amina Saeed"

Approximately 120 persons took part in the Second Annual Interfaith Dinner between United Methodists and the Muslim communities represented by the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago at North Central College, Naperville, Illinois.
Following the dinner and the Magreb prayers, the group was addressed by Bishop Hee-Soo Jung and Imam Abdul Malik Mujahid.  A  keynote address by Ms. Amina Saeed led into table conversation and dialogue. Ideas for future trust building relationships and cooperative activities were written and shared on post-its notes (see above).
