Pastor

 

Our pastor, Deborah Holt, grew up in Macon as a member of Vineville UMC. She attended Central High School in the early 1990s and then went to Georgia Tech, where she graduated with her BS in applied psychology, and Georgia State, where she recieved a certificate in gerontology. After spending a year with Americorps and a few years working with GNTV, a United Methodist Media Ministry based in Macon, she studied for her Masters of Divinity at The Divinity School at Duke University. She began her ministry at Ingleside UMC in June of 2008.

Director Of Music

  

 

Jeff Underwood, our Director of Music, graduated from Valdosta State University in 1971 (A. B. degree with major in music). He has composed/arranged numerous choral, piano, and brass pieces which have been published by Broadman Press. Jeff formerly served the First Baptist Church of Gray and the Mikado Baptist Church in Macon as well as several other churches in south Georgia and north Florida. He has been at Ingleside UMC since November 2001, and he has been a welcome addition to our ministry team!

Rob and Kitty Merritt, our Youth Directors, have been with Ingleside since December of 2005. Rob's family goes back with Ingleside all the way to 1947. Kitty is also on the Litugist rotation and sees regular usher duty. Rob is also in the Choir and is in charge of keeping up this web site.

Director Of Preschool

 

 The Director of our preschool and 4K Teachers Aid, Marilyn Malloy, was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, graduated from Cross Keys High School, and attended Georgia State University. She moved to Macon with her husband Frank in May 1982. Marilyn has worked with the Ingleside United Methodist Preschool for twenty two years, including the last seven as Director. Our preschool has an outstanding reputation in Macon, and most of the credit goes to Marilyn and her staff!

Amy Hester, our church secretary. Amy, originally from Forsyth, GA. Graduated from Mary Persons High School. She received an Associates in Business from Macon College & briefly attended Georgia College. Previous work experience includes banking, office administration, insurance claims and preschool. Amy moved to Macon in 1991. Amy has been married for 13 years, with two young sons. Amy came to work at Ingleside in January 2007, and we are blessed to have her!
