Thanks to all who gave food to support the Cross-Lines Food Pantry, and to all who gave school supplies for the Cross-Lines Back to School drive.

Our budget for the year contained money for Habitat, Cross-Lines Emergency Assistance, Cross-Lines Christmas Store, the Pastor’s discretionary fund, Meals on Wheels, Project Equality, the Garden, and the Soup Kitchen.

We worked at Harvester’s. We will again sponsor the Clothing Department for the Cross-Lines Christmas Store.

We joined Leawood United Methodist and Leawood Presbyterian churches in providing food and servers at the Wilhelmina Gill Center in KCK for three different times. Thanks to all the volunteers who provided food and their time to serve at the Soup Kitchen.

Thanks to Reverend Cheryl, Josh and the Youth Group, and Judy Douglass for helping with the monthly worship service at the Manor Care Nursing home.

In 2005 we will be asking for donations of money and time to support Cross-Lines emergency requests, Habitat, Harvesters, Cross-Lines Christmas Store, Cross-Lines Food Pantry, Pastor’s Discretionary Fund, Meals on Wheels, Project Equality, Manor Care Nursing Home worship services, the Garden, and Heifer International.

Quoting from James Mulholland’s book, Praying Like Jesus, “Until we eliminate poverty, everything else we do is a mockery of God’s will. Our theological orthodoxy is meaningless if we don’t take care of his sheep."
