The Finance Committee would like to thank the members and friends of Indian Heights United Methodist Church for their financial support during the fiscal year 2004. Through your support we have been able to meet most of our budgeted items except for Conference Apportionments. Through September 30, we have paid Apportionments through June or 50% of the Conference request. With three months left in this fiscal year we are hopeful that we will be able to make additional payments to the Conference.
The TWC 100 Club has 56 members. These members have agreed to contribute $25 when called upon when there is maintenance emergency at the church. The members can only be called upon four times per year. Thus far in 2004 we have called upon these members one time for their support. We thank you for your continued support.
For 2004 the members and friends of Indian Heights agreed to submit a written pledge to support the church operating budget. In 2004 there were 62 active pledges from members and friends of Indian Heights. We would hope that there would be 75 active pledges in 2005.
A summary of the proposed budget or $291,276 is enclosed. This represents a 4.40% increase over the 2004 budget of $278,999.
As you look over the budget you will note that Conference Apportionments have been reduced by 6.79% as well as many of the programs.
With the completion of the new addition to the church we have assumed additional expenses: utilities, mortgage payments and maintenance expenses for fire alarm, elevator and in house sprinkler system. All of these expenses are listed in the attached report.
On November 7, we will celebrate Commitment Sunday when members and friends submit their 2005 pledges at the morning services. Following the 10:30 a.m. service we will have a Pot Luck Luncheon in the Fellowship Hall.
The members of the Finance Committee again want to thank the members and friends for their continued financial support of the programs at Indian Heights.
