The Cherry St. Stained Glass Windows in the sanctuary have been restored. They were in danger of having glass fall out because the lead was getting loose and the wood frames were rotting. They now have new frames, new lead and new plexiglass shields. Cleaning the glass of years of grime has restored them to vibrant color. The new, clear
plexiglass shields lets more light in to reveal even more glorious color. We believe they are some of the nicest
stained glass in the city. Cleaning the glass has revealed a new color, Orange.
We are also proud of the rose window over the altar. The original stained glass that was over the altar is also on display.
The picture below does not capture two panels, one on either end. It is also overexposed and does not capture the
true beauty of the windows.
