SANCTUARY CHOIR: The Sanctuary Choir is made up of men and women who love to sing, can sing on pitch, and who give the music ministry a priority in their lives. They are dedicated people who choose to use their talent worshipping God through music, there by helping to foster prayer and praise.Rehersals are Wednesday from 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. in the church. Ability to read music is helpful, but NOT required. JUNIOR CHOIR: The Junior Choir is a choir for children in grades 3 through 7 and currently has about 18 members. They sing primarily at the 10:15 worship service every 3 or 4 weeks, September through June and occasionally at the 8:45 service. Holly Moore is the director, assisted by Carol Michie and Cathy Stanton. Rehearsals are on Sunday mornings after services, 11:30 until 12:15(the same time as Sonshine Singers). Families who would like their children to join the Junior Choir can get more information by calling the church office, at 229-2114. SONSHINE SINGERS: The Sonshine Singers are a choir of children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade, and currently number 12 singers. They sing at the 10:15 service once a month, September through June. Terri Hein and Theresa Leiby are the directors, with assistance from Rev. Jim Moore. Rehearsals are on Sunday mornings at 11:30 (the same time as Junior Choir.) "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord" Psalm 100:1 JOYFUL NOISE: Joyful Noise is an inter-generational group the seeks to glorify the Lord and support the Sunday worship service through more contemporary music. We rehearse after church on the first and second Sunday's of the month and sing on the third Sunday.INSTRUMENTAL ENSEMBLE: This group consists of men and women from high school to senior citizens. The group comes together for special services during the church year, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Pentecost/Confirmation, and Music Sunday. Soloists are selected from the ensemble to accompany the choir or organist, as the need arises. Rehersals are prior to the scheduled service at a day and time convenient to most. CHIMES: A regular group of chimers is organized and is dedicated to playing for special occasions of the church year such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Holy week, Easter, Confirmation, and Sunday. Good rhythm and the ability to read music are necessary. Additional people needed. Rehearsals are three (3) Mondays, 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., in the Sanctuary, prior to playing at the 10:15 Service Worship Service. |
