Baltimore County Christian Workcamp
The task of the Baltimore County Christian Workcamp (BCCWC) is "to share the love of Christ by repairing the homes of some limited income families in Baltimore County, Maryland," primarily during the third full week in July. Camp Hope is a mission camp - like the Baltimore County Christian Work Camp. Hunt's UMC is sending 10 youth and 4 adults to Western Maryland this year. Details...
Carpenter's Kitchen is a "soup kitchen", which provides for 250-300 clients each Saturday night at Mt. Vernon UMC.
Hunt's UMC teams up with Timonium UMC to provide the food, cook & serve the dinner 4 times a year.
The Assistance Center of Towson Churches The Assistance Center of Towson Churches offers an ecumenical program providing help for the poor and needy in our community. ACTC developed as a result of a study conducted by the Towson Area Ministerial Association, exploring an effective and efficient way to meet the needs of people coming to churches requesting help. As a result, 14 churches joined together to organize the Assistance Center. We now number 41 churches participating in the outreach effort.
The Assistance Center opened in 1985 to provide emergency assistance. Located behind Calvary Baptist Church, the office is open M - F (10 a.m. - 3 p.m.). The Center is run by a director and a team of trained volunteers who interview each applicant to determine their specific needs.

Camp Hope
Jeff and Lisa Highfield are missionaries with Campus Crusade for Christ at
Virginia Tech. Along with working on the college campus, each summer Jeff and Lisa have the opportunity to work with students on summer mission's projects all over the country. They have been to Hampton Beach, NH and they have also led a team of students to North Africa.
