Come to the SPA.The second edition of Scripture, Prayer and Application begins this week.As part of our year-long emphasis on "Passionate Spirituality" we will begin reading portions of the Old Testament books of Judges and I Samuel, the New Testament books of I and II Corinthians, and the Gospel according to Matthew. Each day we read about a chapter and a half of the Bible, plus a psalm. Then we join together once a week to discuss what we have read and how to apply it to our daily lives. SPA groups meet on Tuesday evening (7:30 to 9:00), Wednesday morning (10:00 to 11:30) and Saturday morning for bagels (8:45 to 10:15). We sing, we pray, we share the important events of our lives, and we connect them to scripture. At the end of each 6-week block we have a joint celebration.
