Statement
of Philosophy
The Hudson United Methodist Church Nursery School is oriented toward learning
through a variety of hands-on experiences as well as through socialization
and creative play. We offer a number of developmentally appropriate activities
which enhance every aspect of a preschooler's growth along with the love
and understanding necessary for this development within the Christian Church.
Licensing and Accreditation
The Hudson United Methodist Church Nursery School is licensed to operate
by the Ohio Department of Human Services as well as accredited by the National
Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
Staff
The staff of the Hudson United Methodist Church Nursery School is highly
qualified and experienced in Early Childhood Education. All lead teachers
have a minimum four year college degree in Education or related field. Lead
and Co-teachers must hold a current Ohio Teaching Certificate. All staff
members are required to continue their formal education through seminars,
inservice training and/or college course work. The topics include, but are
not limited to, early childhood education, child development, CPR, first
aid, communiable disease, and prevention/detection of child abuse.
